  1. Red Dog AOTM, how do you feel about that?
Truly humbled, I’m not the fastest in the club, but I give it my all, and that’s why this means the world. Pretty sure I’ve peaked now… so I might just retire while I’m on top.
  2. When did you join, and what attracted you to the club?
2020… I think. I joined when I heard about the mythical 4th discipline.
  3. How much training do you do at the moment?
This is the most consistent I’ve ever been, more consistent than when I trained for Ironman, which is saying something. Five swims a week, a sprinkle of running and biking for garnish, and five days in the gym. Basically, I’m one session away from being a full-time athlete.
  4. What’s your favourite session and why?
Anything I can talk through, if I’m still breathing enough to talk, it’s my kind of session. Honestly, it’s the Red Dog community that keeps me showing up to sessions… that and the fear of Trent!
  5. Who’s your ideal training partner and why? Swim, Bike, Run
This is really hard to answer because it’s like choosing a favourite child, except my training partners are louder, sweatier, and more likely to leave me behind… or worse, drop me from the group chats! But shoutout to Graufy, my training partner since day one, and Steph, she’s way too fast to actually train ‘with’ but somehow still manages to keep me accountable.
  6. Favourite motivational quote?
Haven’t come this far, to come this far!
  7. The one bit of advice I’d give to a newbie is?
I’m probably not the right person to be giving advice but if you need to know how to wash your bike, I’m your girl. Kirk Purchase passed down his bike-cleaning wisdom to me… and Steph Barrett still doesn’t trust me anywhere near hers.
  8. What’s your next event?
On 6 September, convinced the girls to sign up for the 20km swim around Great Keppel with me… then pulled a swifty and entered the duo with Steph Barrett’s other half. Peak leadership right there!
  9. What do you do outside of training?
Eating out often enough to keep the hospitality industry thriving, and travelling enough to keep Trent guessing if I’m coming back.
  10. What’s your one guilty pleasure?
Skipping training (and pretending it was part of the plan).
